HTS Ranking: Week 9

Written by Bob Grim (Texas St.) 59 Friday, October 24, 2008

1:  USC:  After last week`s scrimmage against the Washington State Cougars, the Trojans get a true challenge when they play       Arizona in Tucson this Saturday.

2:  Arizona:  Willie Tuitama and company continue to take care of the ball and the Wildcats have a more potent running game behind freshman Keola Antolin.  Big test with USC this week.

3  Oregon:  Offense alone, will not keep the Ducks near the top of the Pac-10 rankings.

4.  Oregon State:  The defense continues to improve and the Beavers have the Rodgers brothers on offense.

5.  California:  Still looking to find the quarterback who will lead and the run defense needs to step up play.

6.  Stanford:  Must be a Bay Area phenomenon, quarterback play must improve.

7.  Arizona State:  Near the top of the conference in passing, near the bottom in rushing and currently on a four

     game losing streak.

8.  UCLA:  Rebuilding is a slow process.

9.  Washington:  What has fallen faster, the stock market or Husky Football?

10.  Washington State:  Closed practice this week because the press did not want to come.
