Slugging through the rain that did not let up the entire game, November 11th USC Trojans proved that loss of a chance at the national title isn’t going to stop them from taking home the win in the rivalry game against the Bears. After losing to Stanford by one point, and then two games later to Oregon by seven points, the Trojans lost their chance at a national title. Now they’re coming back, winning their next two games; first a ruthless slaughter of the Beavers, second a rainy win against Cal.
Chauncey Washington earned a career high in yards, earning 220 yards and a touchdown. He shattered his previous 119 yard record. His last two weeks he’s shown that it’s all finally coming together for him, but this game was his chance to get the ball and go. With two more games and a Bowl to go, the season’s looking good for the Trojans.
